just adore this, to be a little vanity as discussed...

I still love it... and it's the type of piece you can have for years, it can be put in so many places.

love this. so cute. just had a thought that perhas it could go in the tiny half-bath... we're going to install a pedestal sink in there, so it could sneak underneath to hold towels, etc?

the tiny half bath on the first floor? It's such a darling piece... I could see it in some of the larger bathrooms too.... or as a small side table in the "lounge area" in the master bedroom.... I think you should definitely get it.

have been loving this since i met it back in april... want it to come live in the 2nd floor office with the little desk and do an amazing job of storing and hiding things

for the office (tiny room on the second floor)... we have measured and it has erich's approval! now to find a cool chair :)
sarahnaree's picture

I like it! You'll need a thick clubby chair to go with it :)

debraellyn's picture

clubby chair sounds so perfect. leather with nailhead trim? fun fabric? more thoughts please

sarahnaree's picture

I like the idea of a fun fabric! Particularly once you have the walls figured out. leather with nailhead trim would be good too. I was thinking something with a square shape, maybe slightly unusual--as you are so good at finding these types of things.

comes in lots of colors - cute for the deck off the master bedroom!

I think you can do better... I was thinking of something more Parisian and classic?

i love all of the calypso rugs. i especially love that they make 9' by 12' which feels like the right size for the living/dining room spaces. does the navy seem too modern? does it make sense to do rugs that match in the two spaces, or better to do complimentary rugs? more on this to come
sarahnaree's picture

I can't tell the proportions of the design to rug... is it as large as it seems?

debraellyn's picture

not totally sure... i think this means we need to go on a field trip to the calypso home store in soho to check it out in person! in the interim, if you click this link, and scroll through the photos - you can get a better perspective on some of the rugs...

Ah, I get it now. I like them. I think we will have to think hard about how to tie it with the chandeliers in the living room and dining room, since these have a more Caribbean feel to me. It's very doable, and I think it could come out like dynamite for a formal room!

Reminds me of your map room... but the light color actually looks really nice.
